Arctic Leaders Summit 2005

“Healthy, Sustainable Livelihoods for Arctic Indigenous Peoples: The Impacts of Global Warming and Oil and Gas Development”

The Arctic Leaders’ Summit is a forum for circumpolar indigenous leaders, together with Arctic states, government officials, industry and international non-governmental organizations, to come together to discuss the future of the Arctic, the future of the world, and to share ideas and build cooperative alliances. The Arctic Indigenous Peoples’ Organizations meet on a regular basis and their agenda is set by the Indigenous Peoples themselves.
